Having a pet gecko can be really fun but when it comes to cleaning it's cage, there are certain steps you need to take to make sure your pet is living in a clean an happy environment. Read the steps below to find out how!

Step 1

Geckos need to stay at a constant hot temperature. For this, you should already have heat lamps on top of it's cage. Carefully remove these heat lamps to take off the lid of the cage.

Step 2

Now that the lid is off the cage, you can easily take it out. You can put the gecko in safe contained space or just let 'em hang out on your arm!

Step 3

Now that the gecko is out of the cage, take out all the terrarium contents of the cage including the bottom fiber mat.

Step 4

Clean all the terranium contents of the cage and dust off the fiber mat. Clean the bottom of the glass cage if there is anything there as well.

Step 5

Now that all the objects that were in the cage are clean, put them back into the cage. Rearrange them so that your pet can be engaged!

Step 6

Once that's done, refill the water and give your gecko a fresh serving of its favorite food! Gecko's only need to be fed once or twice a week but make sure to give it water whenever the bowl is empty!

Step 7

Now that your gecko's enviroment is clean and ready, gently put it back in it's home! Now go play with your gecko and have fun!
